When in high school I was encouraged by my Dad to learn a trade and I chose to be an electrician. I started by joining the Air Force. I spent a year in Tech school learning electrical theory. My First duty assignment was maintaining audio/video and switching systems. After my time in the service I moved to Colorado and took a job at Crested Butte Mountain resort. After a season as a lift operator I was able to get into lift maintenance. I was able to apprentice under a Master electrician and learn motors and controls on the ski lifts. My next move was into residential electrical in 2001. I Received my Residential Wireman’s license in 2003. From that point I worked for a few different electrical contractors in the Gunnison/Crested Butte area specializing in Trophy homes and light commercial work. In 2008 I got my Masters electrical and contractors license and that is when I started Lake Fork Electric while living in Lake City Colorado. We moved to the Westcliffe area in 2012.
